This Privacy Policy describes how SEAR Ventures LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Throw a Fart mobile application ("the App"). We've tried to keep this readable. If anything is unclear, email help@throwaf.art.

Who We Are

Throw a Fart is operated by SEAR Ventures. The App is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account information: username, email address, and password (or Apple/Google sign-in identifier) when you create an account.
• Profile information: selected Fartimal avatar, friend connections, and friend codes.
• Gameplay data: scores, Skid Marks balance, in-app purchases, mini-game progress, battles, and challenges.
• Communications: messages and farts you send to other users within the App.
• Support requests: any information you choose to share when contacting help@throwaf.art.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: device type, operating system version, language, and approximate region.
• Diagnostic data: crash reports and error logs (via Sentry) so we can fix bugs.
• Usage data: which features you use, session length, and aggregate gameplay statistics.
• Push notification token: if you opt in to push notifications.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your precise location.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

How We Use Information

• To operate the App, run leaderboards, process battles and challenges, and manage your Skid Marks economy.
• To deliver push notifications you've opted in to (friend requests, fart attacks, challenge invites).
• To process in-app purchases and subscriptions.
• To diagnose crashes and improve performance.
• To respond to support requests.
• To enforce our terms and prevent abuse, fraud, or harm.

Advertising

The App displays advertisements via Google AdMob to support a free experience. AdMob may use device identifiers to serve relevant ads. You can limit ad personalization in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising; Android: Settings → Google → Ads). We have configured AdMob to serve age-appropriate ads for our 13+ audience.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the App. Each handles data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — backend, authentication, and database hosting.
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase and subscription management.
• Google AdMob — advertising.
• Sentry — crash reporting and performance monitoring.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution and payments.
• Expo / EAS — over-the-air app updates.

Data Encryption

All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Stored data is protected using industry-standard encryption and access controls.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With the third-party services listed above, as necessary to operate the App.
• With other users of the App, as part of normal gameplay (your username, avatar, scores, friend connections, and farts you send to them).
• If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case affected users will be notified.

Your Rights and Choices

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the App: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your personal data. Some anonymized records may be retained where necessary to preserve other users' game history.

Push Notifications

You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings or within the App.

Access and Correction

To request a copy of your data or correct inaccurate information, email help@throwaf.art.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Backups are purged on a rolling 90-day cycle. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained longer for analytics purposes.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email help@throwaf.art and we will delete the account.

International Users

The App is operated from the United States. By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

California Privacy Rights

California residents have the right to request access to, deletion of, and disclosure about the personal information we collect. To exercise these rights, email help@throwaf.art. We do not sell personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the App or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
